Zip Tie Room Art

Zip tie room art

Okay, this is incredible — and the highest zip tie count of anything yet featured here on ZipTieGuy. This is an entire room turned into an art installation piece by a bunch of interior design students. It is amazing. This awesome photo of the installation was taken by mx2-foto.

Let’s take a look at some of the awesome zip tie stats involved in this one:

  • 1,300,000 zip ties (that’s 1.3 million zip ties!)
  • 52 students
  • A total of 16,870 man hours to create.

This zip tie art installation piece includes more than just crazy awesome designs and structures made of zip ties, it also has cocoon-like chairs of zip ties that you can actually sit in. This installation was at the Modern Art Museum in Munich and I think we can both agree that this is finally some modern art that we can appreciate! Of course, being artists, they had to get all weird with their description, claiming that it “tries to translate sociological terms like self-portrayal, community and retreat into tangible spatial situations.”

I swear, why can’t these artists or interior designers every just say, “This installation is ridiculously awesome. It doesn’t mean anything, it’s just cool.” Because, really, that’s the truth here.
